If you’re arriving another way, check-in to the hotel and connect with Freedom Biker Tours. Either way, we strongly recommend arriving the day before. Payment for the night before is your responsibility, but Freedom Biker Tours can make the reservation for you.
We will pick-up rental motorcycles today (Day #1) at either Eagle Rider or Cycle BC. During the evening, we will have a meet-and-greet at the hotel including a Welcome Dinner, Orientation and Briefing hosted by Freedom Biker Tours.

Kickstands up 09:30. Full tank and empty bladder. It’s time to get outta’ Dodge and hit the road. After breakfast we’ll mount-up and head east into the Fraser Valley on the legendary Trans Canada Highway for part of today’s short ride. We’ll then cross to the north side of the Fraser River for some secondary roads and more scenic back road country-style riding. A short ride today to get used to our bikes and riding together in a group. We’ll arrive mid afternoon at world famous Harrison Hot Springs, a quaint small town on the shores of Harrison Lake. Time to enjoy the Hot Springs Pools at the resort. Dinner tonight is on our own and we recommend the Black Forest Restaurant where you will enjoy delicious Bavarian food and of course, legendary German beer and wine.

Kickstands up 08:30. Full tank and empty bladder. After breakfast, we’ll ride east to the edge of the Town of Hope where the first Sylvester Stallone ‘Rambo’ movie First Blood was filmed. We’ll turn north and ride up the Trans Canada Highway through the scenic Fraser Canyon along the mighty Fraser River passing Hell’s Gate. We’ll ride through several tunnels along the route as the Fraser Canyon winds its way through narrow rock gorges and into the Coast Mountains. At Lytton (famous for breaking temperature records as Canada’s ‘hot spot’ in the summer), we intercept secondary Highway #12 cruising the twists and turns as we ride into the Town of Lillooet (just as hot), where we’ll stop for a stretch and a quick lunch at biker friendly Lillooet’s Cookhouse. From Lillooet we’ll ride the scenic mountainous twists and turns of the infamous Duffy Lake Road (Highway #99). Our destination for the night is Whistler, the beautiful mountain town, and the largest ski resort in North America. For dinner, you are on your own, and there are lots of fun dining options to choose from in the village.

Kickstands up 09:30. Full tank and empty bladder. This morning we ride south on the Sea to Sky Highway that winds its way from Whistler to Vancouver. We stop on the way just past the Town of Squamish at the Sea to Sky Gondola for a ride to the clouds high above Howe Sound. Take a walk on the suspension bridge and enjoy the views of majestic coastal forests and Shannon Falls. Back in the saddle, we continue south past Britannia Beach to the BC Ferries terminal in the quaint seaside Town of Horseshoe Bay. A 35-minute ferry ride across Howe Sound takes us to world famous Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast where the Canadian TV show ‘The Beachcombers’ was filmed from 1972 to 1990. Continuing on to the Town of Sechelt along the coast where we rest for the night. Dinner is on your own tonight and we recommend Joe’s on the Beach.

Kickstands up 09:30. Full tank and empty bladder. Scenic riding today along the beautiful Sunshine Coast with the spectacular scenery of the Strait of Georgia on our left as we wind our way up to the BC Ferries Earl’s Cove terminal where we will board the 12:55 departure BC Ferry sailing for the 50-minute crossing of Jervis Inlet to Saltery Bay. We need to be at the ferry terminal no later than 12:00 noon. We disembark at Saltery Bay and continue riding up the Sunshine Coast to Powell River where we will rest for the night. Dinner is on our own tonight.

Early start today due to the Ferry schedule. Kickstands up 07:00. Full tank and empty bladder. Luckily, the ferry terminal is very close to our hotel. We’ll board the 07:55 sailing of BC Ferries for the 90-minute crossing of the Strait of Georgia to the Town of Comox on Vancouver Island. Comox is home to 19 Wing, the RCAF base that supports West Coast Search and Rescue operations with 442 Squadron. Breakfast is onboard the ferry. From Comox we ride south along the east shore of Vancouver Island to the Town of Qualicum Beach where we turn west and cruise along the scenic Alberni Highway cutting across the island from east to west. We’ll ride through scenic parks and forests eventually picking up the Pacific Rim Highway which will take us through the old-growth forests of Pacific Rim National Park which contain some of the oldest trees in North America. After Port Alberni we ride the twists and turns of the Pacific Rim Highway to Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We stay in Tofino for 2 nights. Dinner tonight is at Browne’s Social House at our resort.

An early morning with a day off the bikes today to enjoy what Tofino and the west coast has to offer. The Long Beach area is famous for surfing, storm watching and abundant wildlife. We embark on a Whale and Bear watching excursion early this morning with Remote Passages Marine Excursions. After our activity, the rest of the day is free to wander and explore Tofino. Dinner is on your own tonight.

Kickstands up 08:30. Full tank and empty bladder. Today we mount-up and retrace our ride back along the Pacific Rim Highway to the east coast of Vancouver Island to the Town of Parksville. We then turn right and cruise south along the east coast of the island through the City of Nanaimo where we will find a Timmy’s to stop for a snack. After lunch, we will ride through the Town of Ladysmith and into the Town of Chemainus where we will check out the world famous Chemainus Murals. Just before we hit the Town of Duncan, we’ll turn right and head west again riding to the small Town of Lake Cowichan. Tonight, we rest in the quiet lakeside resort Town of Lake Cowichan. Dinner is on your own tonight, and we recommend sitting on the deck of the Riverside Inn Pub overlooking the river.

Kickstands up 09:00. Full tank and empty bladder. This morning we’ll ride through rugged wilderness and tall forests on narrow winding and twisty roads to the west coast of Vancouver Island and the Town of Port Renfrew where we will stop for lunch at the seaside Renfrew Pub, popular with Bikers. From there we’ll cruise south along the West Coast of Vancouver Island with the views of the Strait of Juan De Fuca and the mountains of Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula across the water to our right.
Beautiful scenery abounds all the way along the coast through Juan de Fuca Provincial Park and various Regional Parks, and along the rugged coastline through the Towns of Sooke, Metchosin and Colwood, and into Victoria where we will arrive mid-afternoon. Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia and has been dubbed the ‘most British city in Canada.’ We’re staying downtown in the Inner Harbour area. Your afternoon and evening are free to wander and explore. Dinner is on your own with plenty of fun dining options to choose from.

Kickstands up 09:30. Full tank and empty bladder. This morning we’ll cruise along the Pat Bay Highway from Victoria northeast up the Saanich Peninsula and past the Town of Sidney (branded ‘Sidney by the Sea’), to arrive at the BC Ferries Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. We’ll board the ferry for the 90-minute crossing of the Strait of Georgia to Tsawwassen where we’ll disembark and ride to return our rental bikes. We’ll transfer back to our hotel, and tonight, you’re invited to a farewell dinner at a surprise location, where we can laugh, relax, reminisce, and enjoy fond memories of our experiences and our ride together.

You’re on your own today, but the Freedom Biker Tours crew will be hanging around to help and say goodbye.
